Welcome to GreatTec’ Parental Guideline!

This Parental Guideline (“Guideline”) page is prepared for parent(s) whose minor child is playing our games. We understand as parent(s) and legal guardian(s) (“you”, “your”), you are concerned about the type of media your minor child is involved in and the safety of your minor child in the gaming world. In this Guideline, “Games” means any games developed and/or published by Greattec PTE.LTD. and its group affiliates (“we, “us”, “our”), whether existing now or in the future. Unless the context otherwise requires, all capitalised terms used but not defined herein shall have the same meanings set forth in the Terms of Use.

This Guideline provides information about our Digital Goods and Services and is intended as a practical guideline to assist you in how to deal with some situations that may arise when your minor child is playing our Game(s) so you can be sure that your minor child will have a safe and fun time when playing our Games. In this Guideline “minor child” means a child who is younger than 18 years of age or the age that is considered a minor in your country of residence.

1. TERMS OF USE AND PRIVACY POLICY OF GreatTec’ GAMES

If your minor child has an interest in playing our Games and accessing our Digital Goods and Services, he/she needs to seek your permission first before playing our games. It is highly recommended that you read our Terms of Use and Players’ Privacy Policy together with your minor child. By doing this, you can assist your minor child to understand the rules when accessing our Digital Goods and Services and to educate your minor child on what he/she should and should not do when playing our Games as written in section 8 of our Terms of Use. We also provide Young Person’s Terms of Use and Young Person’s Privacy Policy on our website as a summary of our Terms of Use and Players’ Privacy Policy.

2. PRIVACY AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA OF YOUR MINOR CHILD

We are bound by international regulations regarding children’s personal data protection. Therefore, without your parental consent, we will neither collect nor process any personal data from children under the age of 13 years old in the United States and from children below 16 years in some EU jurisdictions.

If your minor child wants to bind his/her game account with a GreatTec Account, we will send you a parental/legal guardian consent confirmation link. After you click the verification link, your child will receive a verification code so that he-she can insert it and play the Game. By clicking the verification link, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Player’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use that you have given your consent on behalf of your minor child to access the Digital Goods and Services and that you allow us to collect and process some of your minor child’s personal information as described in the Players’ Privacy Policy and Young Person’s Privacy Policy.

In our Games, we may hold some events such as surveys, campaigns, sweepstakes, etc. We will ensure that we comply with applicable regulations, especially when regulations prohibit us from targeting minors as participants in these events.

3. PRIVACY AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA OF THE PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN

We will only process your email address for the sole purpose of obtaining verifiable consent from you as the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the minor child.

We will ensure the security of your personal information by implementing appropriate measures.

 

4. TAKE MINIMUM SECURITY MEASURES

  1. If you decide to provide your minor child with a separate device to play and access our Digital Goods and Services you must set it up properly. Nowadays, you can create an additional separate account that is designed only for your minor child. You can find the information on how to create an account for your minor child on iOS and Android.
  2. If you decide to share your device with your minor child, it is your sole responsibility to ensure that any device or Account used to access our Games is secured and that your minor child does not have access to your account or card payment. We strongly recommend that you activate all available security features to your devices and cards password, PIN, fingerprint, or face recognition. Never share your device or credit/debit card PIN with your minor child to prevent any unapproved online purchases.

 

5. VIDEO GAME AGE-RATING

Just like movies on television or at the cinema, games also have their age-rating content systems. It is recommended that you make yourself familiar with the age rating systems and type of content in the Game itself. These age rating guidelines are not only for the players but also to help you decide whether or not to allow your minor child access to the content in the Game. You should actively check the age rating that applies in your country.

6. PARENTAL CONTROLS

Our Digital Goods and Services are available in various channels, such as Google, Apple, Huawei, Windows, etc. Each type of device has been designed for everyone`s use and does not provide pre-installed safety or other features to protect minor children from accessing certain contents. It is highly recommended for parents and legal guardians to check the parental controls in the device that you or your minor child are using.

7. IN-GAME CHAT WITH OTHER PLAYERS

Talk to your minor child about how they should interact with other players in our Game. Remind your minor child to never reveal or share their personal information such as their real name, home address, email address, phone number, or bank information in the in-game chat with other players.

You also need to encourage your minor child to be open with you if they receive a chat from another player that makes them feel uncomfortable, such as any chat that contains bullying, harassment, hate speech, sexual content, etc. If your minor child faces this situation, please take a screenshot as evidence and immediately report it to GreatTecCustomer Support..

 

8. MY MINOR CHILD WANTS TO MAKE AN IN-GAME PURCHASE, HOW CAN I ENSURE THAT MY CARD INFORMATION IS SAFE?

A license to all GreatTec’ in-game items can be purchased amongst others via our official game pages, App Store, or Google Play. If you buy a license to an in-game item via our official game pages, your order and payment details including your bank information will be directly processed by our external payment service providers. After you complete the purchase, depending on how the license to an in-game item is purchased, you will receive a receipt of your order directly from us, our payment service providers, or from the App Store/Google Play. Your personal information will be kept safe and private by each of these parties.

 

9. MY MINOR CHILD HAS MADE AN IN-GAME PURCHASE WITHOUT MY APPROVAL. HOW CAN I GET A REFUND?

In-game items are virtual items. This means these Digital Goods and Services are licensed to the players, are downloaded, and can be consumed immediately following successful payment. As defined in article 15 of Greattec’ Terms of Use, all purchased Digital Goods (including Virtual Items) are final and non-refundable unless otherwise stated at our sole discretion and where required under applicable law.

If you realise that an unapproved transaction in the Game was made by your minor child, please contact GreatTec Customer Support within ninety (90) days of the first unapproved transaction date. Your report will be analysed by GreatTec Customer Support on a case-by-case basis. We encourage you to check and monitor your credit card statement regularly, at least every two (2) weeks and to take immediate action if you discover any unauthorised transaction and credit card use.
